Olive Osmond was known all over the world has "Mother Osmond." She was gentle, patient, loving, full of wisdom, and loved by everyone she came into contact with. No matter what was going on in her life, she had a warm smile and kind words for everyone. To her family, she was the glue that held everyone together. The love she had for each one of her children and grandchildren was pure and unconditional. She was nurturing and encouraging. She worked side by side with her husband and she was dedicated to her family. She was never idle. She loved to learn. When her children were young, she set up a school room with desks so that she could help them with their lessons. She taught her oldest sons to speak and to read. She loved to sew, she loved to read, she loved to cook, garden, and can her own fruits and vegetables. She was an entreprenuer in her own right. She loved working with mail order, she ran the Osmonds' fan club in the 70's. She wrote and published her own newsletter and several cookbooks as well as books on organization. She designed her own clothes line, "Olive's Kids", and she designed the Donny, Marie, and Jimmy dolls as well as the Marie Modeling doll in the 70's. She was the one who started the Osmond World and Spotlight magazines in the 70's. She was truly an angel to the people whose lives she touched.
